The General Tarleton Inn Seafood Festival in North Yorkshire
Between 21st September and 7th October 2007, the General Tarleton Inn at Ferrensby in North Yorkshire celebrates the extensive and bountiful English coastline in a dedicated Seafood Festival.
Locally smoked fish, lobsters, langoustines, clams, mussels, scallops, halibut, seabass and turbot are just a taste of the delights to be had during this gastronomic festival.
The General Tarleton is a finalist in this year’s Seafood Pub of the year awards, run by The Publican trade paper.
During this two week seafood spectacular, the General Tarleton Inn becomes a Seafood Restaurant, but there will still be some alternatives for confirmed meat-eaters!
The General Tarleton in Ferrensby is situated between Harrogate and Boroughbridge, just 3 miles off the A1, about halfway between London and Edinburgh.
Booking for the Seafood Festival is recommended in both the Tarleton Restaurant and the Bar/Brasserie; ring the General Tarleton Inn on 01423 340284 to make your table reservation or for overnight accommodation (£120 BB per room).
Key accolades for the General Tarleton Inn include:
- 2 AA rosettes;
- 5 star Restaurant with Rooms;
- a Michelin Bib Gourmand;
- an Egon Ronay star;
- recommended in both The Good Food Guide and Hardens.
