Boar’s Head Inn Cookery Weekends (Virginia, USA)
Located in the heart of Virginia’s wine country just two miles from downtown Charlottesville and Monticello, Thomas Jefferson’s home and two hours from Washington, DC the Boar’s Head Inn is 170-room, AAA Four-Diamond resort.
Nestling in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, it is offering a two-night special cookery weekend for July 18 & 19 called ‘Roots and fruits from our Boar’s Head Inn Garden’.
Guests are invited to get to know the Boar’s Head Inn executive chef Mark Gallaudet, with a hands-on cooking class featuring seasonal produce from the Inn’s very own garden and other local ingredients.
The package includea two nights’ accommodation, a welcome bottle of Virginia wine, a dinner and reception, cooking class with lunch, all taxes and gratuities and, guests will receive a Boar’s Head Inn apron and two glasses as a parting gift. Priced at $960 per room, one night, double occupancy or $702 single occupancy; additional cookery weekends are scheduled for August and November 2008.
