Taste of Spain Festival in London’s Borough Market
The Taste of Spain festival in London’s Borough Market hosts the Great Paella Challenge from 6pm on Wednesday 4th June 2008.
Guided by a Valencian chef, you will not only be able to learn how to cook a traditional paella but also have a go at it, adding your own personal touch if you so wish.
The public decide which is the best paella, and name and shame the worst offender.
The winner will also receive a special gift from the Valencia Region Tourist Board.
Once you’ve proven your skills, you can relax and enjoy a gourmet evening celebrating Spanish lifestyle, culture and food.
And if you can’t make it to Borough Market on Wednesday, don’t worry! The Taste of Spain festival continues the following day.
Come and taste some of the typical products from the Valencia Region – from award winning wines to the traditional Christmas nougat, turron – and stay for the grand finale (6pm, Thursday 5th June) when Valencian chefs will cook a spectacular giant paella for everyone!
