Tapas Menu & Wine Tours at Mallorcan Hotel L’Avenida
New for summer 2008, Hotel L’Avenida, located in the heart of Soller on Mallorca’s North West coast, is introducing a mouth-watering tapas menu and new gourmet wine tours. The tapas dinner menu will give guests the opportunity to enjoy this informal, friendly style of Spanish dining in the chic surroundings of the boutique hotel’s Bistro L’Avenida.
The menu will include traditional tapa favourites such as Octopus Gallega with aioli potatoes and pan-fried chorizo, complemented by some international dishes such as Duck with Asian Spiced Noodles and Orange, and Paté of Foie Gras with Sweet Onion Compote.
Enhance the Hotel L’Avenida’s delicious tapas experience with one of the hotel’s new gourmet wine tours, in partnership with local vineyard, Macia Batle, based in Santa Maria.
The new tours give guests the opportunity to enjoy the dramatic scenery of Mallorca’s North West coast while sampling some of the island’s best wines.
Hotel L’Avenida’s magnificent setting, framed by views of the surrounding Tramuntana Mountains, is the perfect place to enjoy a leisurely dinner.
The hotel opened in March 2007 and has been meticulously transformed from a century old Modernist style private mansion into a hip eight bedroomed boutique hotel with the latest in luxury living.
The guided visits to the Macia Batle wine cellars, include the tasting of three different wines along with a lunch of Mallorcan specialities such as Coca Mallorquina, bread with dried tomatoes in olive oil, crackers from Inca with Mallorcan paté, local olive tapenade, sun dried tomato tapenade, jam made from Mallorcan grapes and a tasting of Macià Batle extra virgin olive oil.
The tours must be pre-booked and run Monday - Friday from 9am to 6pm and on Saturdays from 9am to 1.30pm.
