Ceviche Masterclasses at Gaucho’s London in September
Gaucho will be offering Ceviche Masterclasses for their guests in the private dining rooms at their eleven restaurants during Seafood Fortnight, 5th to 21st September.
Guests will be invited to make three ceviches themselves and to taste all six with specially selected wines, including Argentinian Torrontés, a highly aromatic grape variety. There will also be Ceviche Specials on offer to diners during the two week period.
Ceviche is a South American raw fish delicacy, made by salting the fish and ‘cooking’ it in citrus juices. It is usually served with shaves of red onion, coriander and diced red jalapeños amongst other ingredients. Ceviche is naturally low in calories and saturated fat.
Gaucho Executive Head Chef Martin Manning comments:
Our ceviche has become increasingly popular in the last few years, but this summer we have sold more than ever. Ceviche is so quick and easy to make and it tastes utterly delicious. It is our Nuevo Latino take on sashimi!
Ceviche Masterclasses will be available to Gaucho’s guests in their eleven London restaurants (Gaucho Broadgate, Gaucho Canary, Gaucho Chancery, Gaucho City, Gaucho Hampstead, Gaucho O2, Gaucho Manchester, Gaucho Piccadilly, Gaucho Richmond, Gaucho Sloane, Gaucho Tower Bridge) at a cost of £75 per person.
Seafood Fortnight runs from 5th – 21st of September, and is a campaign to increase awareness of the versatility of seafood, and to highlight it as being one of the healthiest, most convenient and delicious foods available.
