Chef Profile: Matt Tebbutt
Matt Tebbutt is the chef behind the multi-award-winning Welsh restaurant The Foxhunter. Described as “comforting, seasonal, and very classy” Matt’s cooking has won The Foxhunter numerous awards including a True Taste Wales Food & Drink gold award, AA Restaurant of the Year for Wales award 2003, and the Saturday Telegraph’s Perfect Pub Award for Best Food 2007.
Matt, who transformed an old stationmaster’s house at Nantyderry in Monmouthshire into one of the most talked about eateries in Wales, studied at Leith’s School of Food and Wine before honing his craft working with culinary luminaries such as Marco Pierre White, Bruce Poole, Sally Clarke, and Alastair Little.
In addition to co-presenting UKTV Food’s Market Kitchen, Matt has also presented BBC2’s Castle in the Country and represented Wales on BBC2’s Great British Menu.
