Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Ansanay-Alex is a graduate of les Maristes in Lyon and the Lycée Hôtelier Savoie Léman, at Thonon-les-Bains in the Haute Savoie. He became the personal chef to Christina Onassis in the mid 1980’s. At the beginning of July 2008 he launched a new gastronomic venture with the opening of l’Ambassade De L’ile in South Kensington, London.

French chef and restaurateur Jean-Stephane Poinard has finally come to America. His arrival in St. Augustine, Florida isn’t just for a brief visit, but to fulfill his childhood dream of living and owning a restaurant in the States. St. Augustine’s European atmosphere lured Jean-Stephane and his wife Valerie here, and their brand new Bistro de Leon opened on Thursday, May 15th 2008 on Cathedral Place.
